On July 12th, 2012, The New York City Summer Mahler Project will present Mahler 5. As in previous years, the ensemble will be a gathering of New York's finest young musicians who perform with tenacity and verve. The concert will benefit the burgeoning and thriving Youth Orchestra of the Lower Ninth Ward, begun in the fall of 2011 with funds generated by the performance of Mahler 1 at Trinity Church Wall Street.
